BELE WOLLESEN
I am a philosopher working broadly at the intersection of individual and collective decision-making. This leads me to work, among other things, in social epistemology, the philosophy of social science, and social choice theory.

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the  'Model Transfer' team at the Leibniz University Hannover and a Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics. Previously, I obtained my PhD from the LSE, where I wrote a thesis on descriptive idealisations and normative assumptions in collective decision mechanisms. Before that, I attended Carnegie Mellon University and received an MSc in Logic, Computation, and Methodology. Prior to this, I earned a BA in Philosophy and Economics from the University of Bayreuth.

If you are interested in what I am doing, you can find more detailed descriptions of my work in the research section.

My spouse, Lukas Beck, is also a philosopher.

All pictures on this website are from Paul Klee. They make me smile. Maybe they do the same for you. This one is called die Hexe mit dem Kamm, 1922 (The Witch with the Comb).
